The combine process can be a huge pain in the ass for players, they will face a number of questions but I didn't think being asked for a phone number would be a deal breaker.

If the San Antonio Spurs choose Deshaun Thomas in next month’s NBA draft, they might have a hard time reaching him to tell him. That’s because when the Spurs asked the former Ohio State star for his phone number Wednesday night, he refused to give it to them.

Thomas said teams asked him plenty of difficult and interesting questions during his interview process at the combine. But the most interesting, he said, was the fact the Spurs’ first question was for his cell phone number and his e-mail address. He gave them the e-mail, but not the phone number.

I know the NFL season is still a few months away but we had some interesting stories come across the desk this morning. 

- Ray Rice's home was robbed over the weekend. The bad guy(s) took a couple grand and two guns. I'm assuming Joe Flacco is a lead suspect, after all he's been robbing him of touches for a couple of seasons now. 

- Calvin Johnson set the all-time record for receiving yards in one season in 2012 and now it turns out he did it with three broken fingers. Mega Tron. 

- Michael Vick says that Chip Kelly has shown him how to properly carry the football. Vick has fumbled the ball 32 times over the last three seasons. How in the hell did Andy Reid or any other coach Vick has had never take him aside and show him how to carry the ball in a safe ...

On Tuesday night, a guy at the Jupiter Lanes bowling alley in Jupiter, Florida was bowling with a GUN in the pocket of his shorts.  Just in case the terrorists' next target is a bowling alley in southeast Florida on a Tuesday?

Anyway, as he stepped up to bowl, he swung the bowling ball back, it brushed up against his gun . . . and accidentally made it FIRE.

And he took a bullet STRAIGHT to the thigh.

He was taken to the hospital, but his injuries aren't considered life threatening.

He must've had a concealed carry permit, because the police said he won't be facing any charges.
