Andrew Ference :: The Easy Target for Shanahan

Posted By: Dustin Nielson · 5/2/2013 11:07:00 AM

Andrew Ference will have a hearing this afternoon for his hit/elbow to the head of Grabovski in game one of the series. If you haven't had a chance to see the play yet here it is.

After the game Ference told the media that he didn't remember hitting Grabovski, just like he didn't mean to flip the bird to the fans in Montreal in the video below. He was fined $2500 for the middle the finger.

I won't be surprised if Ference avoids suspension this time around, after all he did somehow get away scott free for these incidents.

This should be an easy decision for Brendan Shanahan give Ference a one game suspension and send a message early in the playoffs, if not you could end up with something like this again.

Like a lawyer would ask you, "was this man ever convicted of these offences? " and your reply would have to be "no". I know it pains you being a scHabs fan Dusty, so your opinion is a little tainted. Has he ever been suspended? Then you have to remember when a Hab player crosses the line and you can defend him then.
